Welcome to Nimitz Elementary

The NES family would like to give a big thank you to Mini Mart for awarding our school with a $500 grant.  Mini Mart, along with Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance program, awarded this grant to be used to focus on improvements in math and science.  Both Mini Mart and Exxon Mobile believe that it is fundamentally important to encourage the next generation to pursue studies and careers in the areas of math and science.

We appreciate the support that we have always received from Mini Mart and are greatly appreciative of this award.

Staff and students are all taking part in "Get in the spirit week".  Classrooms are decorated, students are working on fun projects, and each day has a different dress up theme.  A huge shout out to all of our parents that have helped their students get involved in the festivities.  And also to the wonderful Nimitz staff that join in.

Family Fitness Night was fun for all.

fitness night

Coach Lovelady and her team put together a great Family fitness night.  Many of our Nimitz families were in attendance and had a good time going to each of the stations.

Thank you to Sabrina and Francisco Molina and family for donating this dolphin sculpture to Nimitz Elementary! The sculpture was made by their father and has visited Nimitz many years at the PTO Fall Carnival. We are so excited to have it here at Nimitz for all students and visitors to enjoy! Thank you to the Molina family!
